The building that housed this community's newspaper for 80 years in the heart of downtown is the site of professional office space with artist studio space in the lower levels. Local Civil Engineering & Surveying firm, BHC Rhodes, announced in the fall of 2006 that it would move employees from Corporate Woods to new offices on the first floor of the Kansan Newspaper building.
